Spring home price appreciation has continued to slow amid high mortgage rates and low affordability. In May, among the 100 largest metros, 16 metros saw prices decline from the month before, with El Paso, Texas; Gary, Indiana; Buffalo, New York; and Syracuse, New York leading in the top 5 spots.

In July, active listings were up 4.2% when compared to last month and jumped by 31.4% when compared to last year at this time. July saw 2,631 active listings.
