Fun Fact 1:
Here in Colorado Springs, active listings “supply” totaled 2,685 in November and were down 9.9% when compared to last month. They jumped 25.8% when compared to last year at this time. (Last year saw 2,135 active listings.)

Fun Fact 2:
Here in Colorado Springs the amount of pending properties hit 551 (indicating demand) were down 17.9% in November but increased 9.8% when compared to last year at this time. (Last year saw 502 pending units.)

Fun Fact 3:
Here in Colorado Springs, November saw inventory increase by 14.7% when compared to last year to 3.9 months. This data point was up 5.4% when compared to what we saw last month.

Fun Fact 4:
Nationally, home prices increased by 3.4% year over year in October. The state of Hawaii was the only state to post an annual home price decline. The states with the highest increases year over year were New Jersey (up by 8.1%) and Rhode Island (up by 7.5%).

Below is a look at home price changes in 10 select large U.S. metros in August, with Chicago posting the highest gain at 6.4% year over year.

Fun Fact 6:
Nationally, pending home sales, which are signed contracts on existing homes, rose 2% from September to October per the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). This marked the third consecutive monthly rise as sales were also 5.4% higher than they were a year earlier.
