Fun Fact 1: Total homes sales in May reached 4,820 for Colorado Springs. This barely improved on last year’s numbers, but still far from 2022 numbers.

Fun Fact 2: The average days on market landed at 43 days in May. That is the 4th month in a row of number of days falling, which is fairly common, as more buyers enter the market at this time.

Fun Fact 3: U.S. housing starts dropped sharply in May, but the bigger picture is telling — we’ve been building far too few homes for most of the last 15+ years. This chronic undersupply continues to support home values even as builders face high rates and costs. (Thanks to my friend Frank for sending this report to me.)
