Fun Fact 1:
In the U.S. today there are more than 50,000 self storage facilities.  A fifth of Americans (21%) use self storage currently, with a further 15% intending to rent some in the future.

Fun Fact 2:
The 30-Year US Mortgage Rate is now up to 7.09%, which is its highest level since 2002. The median American household needs to spend about 43% of their income to afford the current median priced home.

Commentary: Rising rates are making housing affordability very difficult, and very few owners want to give up a mortgage with a significantly lower rate than this.

Fun Fact 3: 2023 Year to date sales volume for the top 10 brokerages in Colorado Springs. My brokerage, The Platinum Group, Realtors, sits in the 3 spot with just 68 agents compared to the other top 10 brokerages with significantly more agents.
